Artist's Comments

Drawn over five massive sheets of A2 size paper this picture took over a week to put together. Mostly due to my tiny, tiny A4 scanner.

Just to give you an Idea of the scale of this piece, The blade of the screwdriver near the center of the picture filled an entire screen at actual pixel size when I was working on it.

I think I've pretty much got the look of the comic right now. All I need to do is finish the script and draw the blasted thing.

coments would be apriciated.

I hear voices talking to me...
They speak to me in the dark...
They tell me things...
They're speaking now...

And they don't like you.

Sir Bingley is meant to be cat, but with the buck teeth and tubes over his ears it's hard to tell. Thanks for the compliment.

Give a man a fish and he'll be happy for a day.

Hit a man with a brick and you can have all his fish... and his wife.

That is superb-ative.

And, you silly silly man. Your hand must be a mangled mess by now...

The style of colouring I use is prety easy, even without a fancy tablet. As long as I get my lineart nice and crisp, without any of that anti-aliasing crap, It's mostly a case of selecting areas with the magic wand and painting over them with the largest brush until you get the right colour. Shading is just a layer of blacked out selections, the polygonal laso is my friend, with the transparancy settings messed about.

As for the glows, the magic wand with a bit of expanding and feathering usualy suffices, but messing with the layer blending modes is damn useful. The green tubes are set to luminosity, for instance, and the orange glows in the foreground are on two different layers, one below the lineart and one above.

That is major rad.
The ground looks plain because there aren't any shadows, though.

Five sheets of A2???

Good job you resized it for dA, then ;).

But yeah, it's cool. :D at the battered "Pay and Display" sign.

Around 300 deviations over 9 or more sections. I like to keep myself busy.
